About Saco Main Street
The Mission of Saco Main Street is to make Saco, Maine a great place to live and work by enhancing the vitality of our downtown.
Under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors, Saco Main Street utilizes an innovative 4-point approach to revitalization. The approach focuses on promotions and marketing, design and preservation, economic development, and volunteer organization to revitalize and improve our already beautiful city. Saco Main Street’s events, downtown decorations, and revitalization efforts are made possible in part through your generous support. Make a difference in our community by contributing to Saco Main Street today!
Some of the events that we produce include the Sidewalk Arts Festival in June, the Classic Car Show in July, the Pumpkin Harvest Festival in October, the Holiday Festival and Parade of Lights in December, and with our friends across the river at Heart of Biddeford we produce RiverJam – Two Cities, One River in September. In addition, we are responsible for the flower box program, holiday window decorating contests for merchants, annual facade improvement awards, the Downtown Parking Guide, and many other terrific programs and initiatives. To learn more details about our upcoming events and ongoing downtown revitalization projects, check the Events page.
